I once was a Nokia user, but due the pure shittines of Symbian, I have been using other phones for several years now, iPhone mainly to be more specific. Nokia just hasn't published anything that would interest me - until now.

Yesterday I got my hands on brand new Nokia Lumia 800 device and after fiddling with it for few minutes, I was sold. Bye bye iPhone! Made me almost feel national pride :)

Why? Already liked the Mango, but haven't yet seen any good device using it. All HTC and Samsung Android/WP7 devices I've seen feel like toys compared to iPhone I was used to. Battery life is poor, screens are low quality, antenna is too poor to get reception even in my house and they just didn't have the thing that would make me want one. It's not the device you would be proud to own.

Lumia is a different thing. With Windows Phone Nokia does exactly what they should do: high quality solid device with good OS. It feels amazingly solid, iPhone kind of solid, with the exception that Lumia looks and feels better. The screen is excellent, signal reception is way better than in any device I have used, camera is awesome, it's simple and fast and I have even found all the applications (or equivalents) I've been used to use from Windows Marketplace. Can't yet say much about the battery life, but after listening several hours music from it with those surprisingly good earbuds found from the box, it has decreased so little that I think it is cheating me.

I think I just became Nokia Lumia evangelist :)
